People Make Mistakes, and That’s Okay

I just wish I didn’t make so darn many of them.

Okay, so this might not be such a big deal. But I finally got the barstools my wonderful partner got for me.

And I put them together backwards.

I even checked the instructions the first time to make sure I understood correctly.

Apparently, I did not.

Sigh.

I have fixed one so far and am currently using it to write this article.

I’ve been incredibly sore all day and the thought of putting the other one together again after taking it apart makes my whole body ache.

Why didn’t I put them together the right way the first time??

I even checked the instructions. I thought I was doing it right.

But when I sat down, I could absolutely tell that this was not, in fact, how the seat was supposed to feel.

For one, it was an ab workout not to fall out of it. For two, there was no where to put my feet!

I’ve been waiting for these stools for almost a month now. The company sent them to Illinois on accident, so they had to send a new shipment to my apartment in Durham. Go figure, they did not over night the shipment. Which, I understand, would’ve been hella expensive but.

And now they’re assembled backwards. Which, I guess since it’s just me and my dog in the apartment, is fine for now

But man, it would be so much easier if I could just do things right on the first try.
